Alan F. Parrigon, 87, of Rossville, died Friday July 8, 2022 at a local hospital.
Mr. Parrigon was originally from Missouri, had lived in Oregon, Washington, Merced, California for over 30 years, and the last 24 years in Rossville, Gs. He graduated in 1953 from Merced High School. He continued his education at UC Berkeley earning his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting in 1957. He later earned his Masters in Business Administration from UC Stanislaus. Mr. Parrigon began his career at Boeing as a cost accountant for 10 years. Most of his career he worked as an accountant with Simpson Paper Company, retiring in 1991, with over 20 years of service. He was proud to have introduced computers into the company and to have trained employees in the use of this new technology. Mr. Parrigon was a faithful Catholic who was devoted to his Rosary and was a member of St. Gerard’s Catholic Church in Fort Oglethorpe. His passions in life were spending time with family and friends, fishing and golfing.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice Parrigon; parents, Earl and Rose Parrigon; and his brother, Kenneth Parrigon.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Drexel Parrigon; four children, Nancy (Bob) Anders, Robert Parrigon, Sue (John) Dowd and Mark Parrigon; brother, William Parrigon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Parrigon’s memory to St. Gerard Catholic Church.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 15 at 1 p.m. at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church 3049 Lafayette Rd, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. 30742.
