Archbishop of Guadalajara: “A thorough investigation” into an alleged Eucharistic miracle is necessary

“Absolutely no one approached me to say ‘this is what happened, the evidence we have, you decide.’ No one approached me,” he noted.

The cardinal spoke in response to concerns about the alleged Eucharistic miracle, which was videotaped July 22 at Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Zapotlanejo, about 20 miles east of Guadalajara.

The videos, circulating on social media, appear to show the Host, displayed in a monstrance for Eucharistic adoration, “beating” or “throbbing” as if it were a heart.

Father Carlos Spahn, who offered the previous Mass and led the Eucharistic adoration prayers during which the alleged Eucharistic miracle took place, told ACI Prensa, CNA’s Spanish-language sister news agency, on July 26. , that what is seen in the videos is “authentic”. and the fact that not everyone present saw it “shows its divine origin”.

Spahn is an Argentinian priest, founder and superior of the Religious Family of the Immaculate Heart and Divine Mercy. He led a mission at the parish of Our Lady of the Rosary and stayed there only a short time.

Speaking on July 31, Robles warned: “Imagine someone comes up with a possible miracle scenario, then the authority just says it is, and then it turns out it is. of a vile configuration.”
