Interim Editor-in-Chief Wondrash appointed Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic Herald – Madison Catholic Herald

MADISON – Bishop Donald J. Hying of Madison appointed Kevin Wondrash Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic herald journal, as of July 1.

Wondrash has been the publication’s acting editor since July of last year.

He took on this role following the retirement of longtime editor Mary C. Uhler.

Wondrash joined the Catholic herald staff in 2013 as staff reporter. He was promoted to associate editor in January of last year.

Wondrash graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a major in Journalism and Communication Arts. While at UW, he served as news director for WSUM 91.7 FM, Madison Student Radio, among other on-air roles.

Before joining the Catholic herald On a personal level, he has worked in news broadcasts as a producer, photographer and reporter at the Eau Claire and Madison stations.

Wondrash won the Catholic Press Awards for his writing while at the Catholic herald.

He is a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish in Madison.
