The Best of Community Banking competition is designed to honor local banks for their commitment to helping their customers, neighbors, employees and community. The BOCB Awards recognize community banks across the state for their innovation, creativity, and success in meeting a specific community or internal need.

Andy Marshall, President and CEO of FirstBank Southwest, said: “At FirstBank Southwest, ‘Faith. Family. Bank.’ are not just words, they are not a motto, they are the way we live our lives. The word order is very intentional; The family is before the bank. We consider everyone at work to be our family. When it comes to home and life balance, we want to make sure that staff look after their families first and attend their children’s ball games or recitals. We want them to be happy. Being happy at home means they are happy at work. And that’s our anchor, Faith. Family. Bank., Where family really means family.

“During the pandemic, employees were our top priority. We wanted to ensure their health, safety and mental well-being, as well as their financial strength, ”said Kelly Preston, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.
