Victoria Lynn “Vicki” Rajewski, 70, Hays, died Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Hays, KS.

She was born September 27, 1951 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Milford L. “Red” and Donna (Nicholson) Frazier. In 1969, she graduated from Valley Center High School. She attended Wichita State University, where she earned a nursing degree in 1973 and later earned a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University. Initially, she worked as a pediatric nurse, but eventually her passion became kidney dialysis. She worked for several years in the dialysis unit at St. Francis Hospital. On February 12, 1977, she married Richard L. Rajewski, MD in Wichita. They celebrated 45 years of marriage. After moving to Hays in 1979, she assisted her husband in his medical practice for several years. In 1985, she helped start and served as nurse manager of the dialysis unit at Hays Medical Center until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church. Vicki’s main activities were her family, time spent in Kanopolis and Wilson Lakes, gardening, and her many indoor plants. She loved walking on the beach while vacationing in Sanibel Island, Florida.

Survivors include her husband Richard L. Rajewski, MD of Hays, three sons: Joshua Rajewski and his wife Dawn of Lenexa, KS, Justin Rajewski and his wife Dr Diana Rajewski of Cologne, Germany, and Jeremiah Rajewski and her husband Matthew Becker of Denver, CO, four brothers: Stan Frazier of Eureka, KS, Roy Frazier of Valley Center, KS, Randy Frazier of Wichita, KS and Tom Frazier of Hesston, KS, three grandchildren: Carver and Kaley Rajewski of Hays, Abigail Rajewski of Cologne, Germany, and 15 nieces and nephews.

The Christian burial mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Saint-Nicolas de Myra Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Wachter, Fr. Damian Richards and Deacon Dave Kisner officiating. Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, Vincent, KS. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. A wake and rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family asks for masks to be worn during visits and mass. Memorials may be made payable to the Cancer Council of Ellis County, the American Red Cross, Catholic charities, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
